In the Native American traditions the wheel is a guide used to understand the individual processes and perspectives we bring to our experiences at each stage of life. You walk around the medicine wheel in a clockwise direction starting in the center in the Children’s Fire. Then you proceed East continuing around the circle to the Northeast. Each direction brings teachings that can support one’s growth in this life. If one is fortunate, they will walk around the wheel four times before they die.
